Taunton Stroke Club

100,000 Stroke victims occur every year - 1 every 5 minutes. There are 1.3 Million stroke survivors living in the UK.

The Taunton Stroke Club welcomes membership from people affected by stroke in the Taunton and surrounding area. The group provides support for members and their carers, which can also give carers a much needed break. The group also offers: activities, games, gentle exercises, guest presentations, short mat bowling, quizzes, outings, and reflexology.

After the survivor has left hospital, there can be adjustments to their long term living arrangements - this is where the Taunton Stroke Club can help, by providing peer support from colleagues who have been through a stroke, and volunteers, in a friendly, non-pressured space.
